| What’s New We are still waiting for the new replacement wing spar caps to be milled from forged aluminum bar stock. The company doing the work had an emergency order come in that took precedence over AM 274 ... so, we are still waiting! In the meantime, John has been doing everything else he can possibly do without the spar caps. I've managed to get a few more photographs up on our 2012 page ... This 'wait' time has given John an opportunity to further research a project that has been near and dear to his heart for nearly thirty years now. In the early 1990's he began to gather details and even had the privilege of speaking with Ed Morrow about his recollections of building the aircraft "The Spirit of St. Louis" Now we will have to wait and see what John does with the information he is gathering ... © 2007 - 2012 JNE Aircraft Restoration Services |
