| We remain deeply indebted to the Walton Maritime Museum in Walton-on-the-Naze in Essex, England; for their kind generosity in loaning us their original Dowty Oleo-pneumatic tailwheel leg that was recovered from the bottom of the English Channel where it had lain for more than 60-years! John has now reassembled the tailwheel leg and it has been returned. |
| Recently we received the Winter 2009 edition of, The First and The Last The Magazine of the Hawker Hurricane Society, with a photograph of Paul Allen's Restored Hurricane on the cover. On pages 4 and 5 of this magazine is the History of AM274, and on pages 6 and 7 are photographs of some of the restoration that has taken place on AM274. |
